Audience participation is encouraged in the zany Guitar Challenge where Matthew spontaneously performs a medley of audience guitar requests including some of his own, interspersed with a selection from 300 sounds from his guitar synth.

Music featured will be the impressive 10-String Guitar Celtic Arrangements Matthew composed for when on tour with Billy Conolly and music  from the special album to be A Song for Billy which features Billy Connolly’s own banjo given to Matthew from Billy himself after their 53 night tour of Australia together.

A Song for Billy is a project to raise awareness for Parkinsons Research.

Spanish, Celtic and Classical music from Matthew’s American recordings Solstice and Virtuoso- A Homage to my Ancestors a dedication to the Parkes family, especially Matthew's Great Uncle Cecil Parkes Australia’s child prodigy in the 1920’s personally chosen by International star soprano Dame Nellie Melba (Originally Nellie Mitchell - Scottish descent) as her star attraction on patriotic Australasian tours and who also sponsored his tour to the USA and Canada in 1916 at the age of 13.

FEATURING EGO THE ELECTRIC GUITAR ORCHESTRA

 

Lord of the Strings presents EGO the Electric Guitar Orchestra as a highlightof the Lord of the Strings Show. 

On custom electric guitar, Lord of the strings performs masters of electric guitar with music of Zepplin, Deep Purple, contemporary metal Masters and Classical masters Beethoven and Vivaldi.  EGO features a virtual guitar orchestra of Matthew Fagan performing multiple guitar parts which will be visually projected.

​

EGO is also a special community project  open to all levels of local guitar players who can join Matthew in a group performance as the electric guitar orchestra for 1 to 2 songs as a highlight of a Lord of the Strings show.
