A sound and visual spectacular, featuring 10 String Guitarist Matthew James Fagan

(aka Lord of the Strings!) plus band and orchestra performing the music of Pink Floyd, Holst, War of the Worlds, ELO, Queen, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Alan Parsons, original compositions.

 

The Concert features leading  guest astronomers and illustrated talks prior to and throughout the performance when fitting, taking the audience on a journey through the Cosmos.

The first concert occured on Saturday 15th June 7.30pm, 2019  at Deakin Edge Federation Square to a SOLD OUT Audience starring leading astronomer and acknowledged expert in the night-sky Perry Vlahos.

 

Leading musicians included Internationally acclaimed, Award Winning concert pianist and ‘Young Steinway Artist’, Nicholas Young, World Percussion, sound sculptor Marek Podstawek,  Ben Harmsen on Bass Guitar and The Electric Guitar Orchestra (EGO) Strings section - Featuring Josef Hanna (Violin), Karla Hanna (Violin), Eunise Cheng (Viola), Daniel Smith (Cello),

Future projects will feature new guest Astronomers and the music performed will vary depending on the Astronomical theme of the concert.
